Why Foster?
Fostering plays a crucial role in our rescue efforts by:
• Increasing Capacity: Each foster home opens up space in our facility, allowing us to rescue more animals in need.
• Providing Personalized Care: Animals in foster homes receive individualized attention, socialization, and love, which are essential for their rehabilitation and readiness for adoption.
• Enhancing Adoptability: Fostered animals often adjust better to home environments, making them more appealing to potential adopters.
How the Foster Program Works
1. Application: Prospective foster parents complete a detailed application to help us understand their experience, preferences, and environment.
2. Orientation and Training: Approved applicants attend an orientation session where they receive training on animal care, behavior, and the responsibilities of fostering.
3. Matching: We carefully match animals to foster homes based on the needs of the animal and the capabilities of the foster family.
4. Support: Foster families receive ongoing support, including veterinary care, supplies, and access to our team for any questions or concerns.
5. Adoption Process: Foster parents assist in the adoption process by providing insights into the animal's personality and behavior, helping to find the best permanent home.
